If people can't handle me at my worst, then they don't deserve me at my best!
Marry a man who loves Jesus. Who loves God before he even knows that you exist. A man who falls to his knees, with tears in his eyes and hands held high, without a care to the world watching him. A man who knows that God is the best foundation in your relationship. A relationship that brings you each other closer to Him.
The man who loves Jesus will respect you. He’ll pursue you and treasure you. He won’t pressure you or control you, but gently walk beside you and lead you. He will appreciate you as the gift and beauty you are, and remind you of it every day. He will worship with you. He’ll pray for you and pray with you. He will lead you with strong hands, stand up when you can’t, but remind you that only God can satisfy.
I’m praying to find such a man. But first I have to be the kind of woman that my man is looking for. I should not only pray and wait for God to give me the best husband-to-be but I also need to let God work in me and transform me to be the best wife-to-be.
To my future husband, know that I’m always praying for you. Though we may still be nameless and faceless to each other, I believe that God has already engraved our love story which is His story in our hearts. And when His perfect time comes, we will see our story unfolds and becomes a beautiful testimony that indeed true love exists.♡♡♡
Pretty poetry does nothing for me here, in the dirt, in the earth, at my worst.
Love will cost you more than a pen in motion. Love means sleeves rolled, hands open, to close in.
Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NIV.)
Are you giving thanks in every circumstance? This might seem like a stretch at first, especially when you are going through a season of difficulty. But notice today’s verse doesn’t say to give thanks “for” everything, it says give thanks “in” everything. In other words, no matter what’s going on, find something to be thankful for. Don’t just focus on what’s wrong in your life; focus on what God will do in your life.
When you are thankful, it opens the door for God to move on your behalf. That’s why it says “this is God’s will for you.” He wants you to be close to Him to receive His strength and power by giving thanks. That’s why we should always have the attitude that says, “God, in spite of what’s happened, I choose to be grateful. I may be sick, but Father, thank You for being my healer. Thank you for giving me great friends and family.” Or, “I may be struggling in my marriage, but God, thank You for being my restorer. Thank You for giving me another sunrise.” As you give thanks in everything, you will see God’s hand move mightily on your behalf, and you’ll come out of that difficulty better, stronger and wiser than before.
He intends to be found.
It was my birthday a few days ago so I decided to write a birthday themed piece. Hope you like! xo Lang
